Some of our Retardican friends thinks this war can still be won. Their shill is getting more annoying by the minute. Let's list the reasons why we can't win. And if logic doesn't persuade them, stop listening to them will. Watch out, Fox News. Technorati Profile

[Donald Rumsfeld is] "the finest secretary of defense this nation has ever had."
These are words uttered by the Vice President Dick Cheney during a farewell ceremony for Donald Rumsfeld.

Now that democrats are in control of the legislature, they are planning for immediate reduction of troops. This is the most moronic thing that the US can do, right up there with invading a country without any reason.

While the Republican party is trying to hold itself together after losing both the House and the Senate, another bombshell falls. Bill Maher outs Ken Mehlman (the Chair of Republican National Committee) as a homosexual, on Larry King. I don't know if it's true, but I'm sure there will be some head rolling soon.

The Office of the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction, an oversight agency of the Iraq reconstruction that has uncovered corruption, shoddy construction, missing weapons, and other embarrasing occurances, will be shut down by the Republican Congress. The agency was formed after complaint that there was no spending oversight in Iraq two years after the beginning of the war. The termination language was inserted by aids of Duncan Hunter (R-CA), and will take effect Oct 1, 2007. Read the
NYT article.

When they leave, they leave in droves. Frank Schaeffer, a registered Republican and the writer of Baby Jack, a novel about the Marines, just renounced his Republican membership. His decision was due to to the sleazy tactics the Republican strategists are using to get votes at any cost. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Don't dishonor the men and women fighting your war. Read it in his own words here.

What's up with these "drunk" republicans? Remember Congressman Foley, who checked himself into an AA clinic, after he was ousted as a child molester? He was somehow blaming his problems to his drinking. Maybe he was drunk as he was voting on the Hous floor and seducing a teenager at the same time.
State Rep. Ralph Arza (R-Fl) resigned today after leaving a message filled with obscenities and a racial slur on a colleague's voicemail. After a month, he now claims that he was drunk. Go figure. (yahoo news link)

I received this passionate letter from a former republican. I don't agree with all of his views, but I think he has a point. It's hard to keep believing that the Republicans are interested in anything but keeping themselves wealthy and in power. Good read.

Welcome to retardicans.com. I'm still trying to find the perfect blogging software. What I really want is to run slashcode, but I don't think my host provider would like such a big complex code. Here is trying geeklog. Things will get cleaned up soon.
